To a stranger to chiropractic the following may be incredible. Australia’s health care Establishment includes the media, pharmacy-based medicine, known as Big Pharma, Australia’s state and federal governments with their aligned health departments. This article is about the Establishment sharing responsibility for the containment and the elimination of traditional chiropractic.
In 1921 by creating the Health Department, the Australian Government provided pharmacy-based medicine with a century-long medical monopoly.
In the early 1960s, the American Medical Association decided to contain and eliminate chiropractic as a profession. A US delegation came to address “the chiropractic problem” with the Australian Medical Association.
Australia’s government became a co-conspirator in the US AMA conspiracy contain and eliminate chiropractic as a profession. With no legal justification for doing so, Australia’s government has exiled chiropractic beyond the periphery of public health by containing chiropractic within private health.
Recently our government assisted to eliminate traditional chiropractic in Australia.
It is common for people to acquire vertebral subluxations. Thousands of private patients in Australia have accessed chiropractic care. Public health’s medical monopoly stops those public patients who have subluxation-related disorders from accessing chiropractic care.
For example, over the decades, many chiropractic patients have shared a history of being recommended to have costly, e.g. $49,000, spinal surgery, refused that and as private patients had a successful comparatively very low-cost chiropractic satisfactory outcome.
Decades of containment permitted successive governments to deny public patient’s direct access to chiropractic care. Chiropractors are not permitted to care for hospitalised or imprisoned patients.
Eliminating philosophy-subluxation-based chiropractic.
In Australia, successive State governments created fatally flawed chiropractic registration Acts.
Recently our government emasculated Australia’s Chiropractic Registration Acts by granting medical practitioners and physiotherapists the legal right to manipulate the cervical region of the spine without the prerequisite of the formal training required of a chiropractor.
Legally, laypersons can now manipulate all, but the cervical region, of the spine.
Our government is aware of the medical profession’s history of containing and eliminating traditional chiropractic. Whose interests are served by giving medical doctors the exclusive right to decide if an alternative health care provider can or cannot be granted cover for up to five Medicare visits?
Our government gave medically aligned AHPRA the opportunity to eliminate traditional chiropractic. Using the myth that medicine is all evidence based AHPRA replaced traditional chiropractic with medically aligned scientific “evidence-based” chiropractic.
AHPRA dictates the legally required regular home study of chiropractors. Instead of chiropractic-related subjects, AHPRA demands that we study medical-related subjects.
Historically, chiropractors educated our patients by publishing patient newsletters about our own clinical experiences, and other educational chiropractic material. AHPRA now bans all of that.
In a lethal blow, Australian universities have replaced philosophy-subluxation-based courses, with medically aligned “evidence-based” chiropractic courses.
Deadly Deception
A common medical myth is that medicine is safe and chiropractic is a danger. In his 1995 book Bad Medicine, Australia’s author John Archer, used some of Medicine’s own data about iatrogenesis to guestimate that Australia has some 50,000 medically caused deaths per year. That figure multiplied by decades of Australia’s iatrogenic epidemic staggers the imagination.
Australia’s media knowingly omits to publish that for decades our government has omitted to collect, collate and publicise Australia’s annual medically caused death toll, omission conceals a deadly epidemic.
All the while the public health department and media continually supports the deadly deception public health is “safe”. https://www.attadalechiropractic.com/current-correspondence-2/
Chiropractic has a history of a zero annual death toll. According to Archer’s guesstimate Medicine has a 50,000 annual iatrogenic death toll. Our government legal bans chiropractors from publicising the truth that medicine is more dangerous than chiropractic or that chiropractic is safer than medicine. Currently, I have written to ask the federal Minister for Health to remove the ban or explain its necessity.
In spite of inadequate evidence to justify the continuing medical conspiracy to stop chiropractors adjusting infants, the Victorian government continues to support the ban.
Australia’s Department of Health program for high school students includes a medical disinformation program about chiropractic. See: https://www.attadalechiropractic.com/the-medical-war-against-chiropractic./
During over fifty years of containment, Australia’s public health education programs and our media omitted to provide any truthful accounts of chiropractic’s efficacy with subluxation-related disorders
Australia’s media omits to publicise the unjustifiable decades of containment and the recent elimination of traditional chiropractic. The media has omitted to publicise that Australia’s iatrogenic death toll conceals a continuing epidemic. Omission can be a way of lying.
Throughout the decades when of our government contained chiropractic and the recent elimination of traditional chiropractic, Australia’s entire media omitted to publish one account of this conspiracy.
